John Carradine est un acteur américain, né le 5 février 1906 à New York (États-Unis) et décédé le 27 novembre 1988 à Milan (Italie).

Il est le père des acteurs David Carradine, Robert Carradine et Keith Carradine. Il a joué dans environ 250 films.

Biographie

Il débute à la scène en 1925, puis à Broadway en 1927. Directeur de sa propre troupe en 1942-1943. Spécialisé dans les rôles shakespeariens. Pendant les années 1940, activité théâtrale importante (Broadway et tournées). À Broadway en 1962 dans Enter Laughing et, en 1964, dans A Funny Thing Happened....
