Wojciech Witold Jaruzelski (6. juuli 1923 Kurów – 25. mai 2014 Varssavi) oli Poola sõjaväelane ja poliitik.
Ta oli Poola Rahvaarmee ülemjuhataja (1983. aastast), Poola Ühinenud Töölispartei keskkomitee esimene sekretär (1981 kuni 1989), Poola peaminister (1981 kuni 1985), Poola Riiginõukogu esimees (1985 kuni 1990) ja president (1989 kuni 1990). Jaruzelski loobus võimust pärast 1989. aastal toimunud ümarlauakõnelusi, mille kokkulepete kohaselt viidi Poolas läbi demokraatlikud valimised.
1943 astus Jaruzelski Nõukogude Liidus formeeritud teise Poola väkke. Aastatel 1965–68 oli ta kindralstaabi ülem, seejärel kaitseminister.
1981. aasta detsembris, mil Poolat ähvardas väidetavalt Nõukogude Liidu vägede sissetung, kehtestas ta riigis sõjaseisukorra ja keelustas ametiühinguliikumise Solidaarsus tegevuse.

The Prague Spring (Czech: Pražské jaro, Slovak: Pražská jar) was a period of political liberalization in Czechoslovakia during the era of its domination by the Soviet Union after World War II. It began on 5 January 1968, when reformist Alexander Dubček was elected First Secretary of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia (KSČ), and continued until 21 August when the Soviet Union and other members of the Warsaw Pact invaded the country to halt the reforms.

Bydgoszcz events (Polish: wypadki bydgoskie) refers to a turning point in the early history of the Solidarity movement. Following the registration of Solidarity by the authorities of Poland in 1980, the farmers were also pushing for creation of a separate trade union, independent from the official system of power. The NSZZ RI Solidarność (Independent Self-Governing Trade Union of Individual Farmers Solidarity, also called Rural Solidarity) was created, but not legalized by the authorities. Because of that on March 16, 1981 in Bydgoszcz a strike was proclaimed.
