He played 3 times in the Canadian Championship 1920, 1922, 1924.

Chess composition:

Strong teacher, journalist and composer of problems and endgame studies who was born in the Ukraine but lived most of his life in Canada and died in Montreal.

He lived also many years in the United States of America, where he developed his chess activityand was drafted in the column of studies of the magazine "Canadian Chess Chat".
