Armando Domenico Cipriani (*1882 - 1962)

Profession: upholsterer, mattress manufacturer

Born in Ceccano, Lazio. He died there.

His wife's name was Isolina DE PAOLIS.

He was the father of Vincenzo Cipriani (* 10.09.1905 - † 19.03.1991), Maria Cipriani (* 30.09.1920 -  † 2010) and Filomena Cipriani.(* 6 April 1908 - † 28 July 1988).

One day he rode his donkey from Ceccano to Rome to visit the Pope. As a believer, he wanted to be received by the Pope (audience). It took him a whole 3 days. When he arrived at the Vatican, he asked for an audience. But the guard did not let him through. He waited for many hours in front of the entrance gate and saw how many limousines drove in. He saw many rich people coming in. Very disappointed and bitter about this rejection, he returned to Ceccano with his donkey and said that he never wanted to have anything to do with the Catholic Church again. After this experience, he never went to mass again. He consequently left the Catholic Church. When he was dying and a Catholic priest wanted to give him the last rites, he rejected the priest.
