Baba Majos de Nagyzsenye (also known as Baba Macnee) was a Hungarian-American author and society figure. She was first married to Hungarian director Steve Sekely until his death, after which she became the third and final wife of American actor Patrick Macnee.

Biography

Baba "Karla" Majos de Nagyzsenye was born in Hungary to Ella Nemethy, a well known soprano and Mezzosoprano opera singer. Nemethy attended the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest and debuted at the Hungarian State Opera House, singing Dalila in “Samson et Dalila” by Camille Saint-Saëns.

Nagyzsenye first married director Steve Sekely, who had previously been married to actress Irén Ágay. Nagyzsenye and Sekely remained married until his death in 1979. During their marriage, Nagyzsenye began being listed in society books, including Personages, Who's Who in California, and the Blue Book.

On February 25, 1988, Nagyzsenye married Patrick Macnee as his third and final wife. The two had met at a Palm Springs society charity event and maintained a home in that same city after marrying. She decorated their home in "traditional Louis XIV grand style". They were married for 19 years before her death in 2007.

In 2001, Nagyzsenye released her book My Guardian Angel. The book was a memoir depicting her life from her childhood during World War I in Hungary to her adulthood, which consisted of celebrities, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills in the United States.
