Wounded at the front in Ebro, then cone, camp in France; 1941 returned to Riga. In the beginning of the WWII - volont., commissar of batt-n of Lat. Div., wounded near Leningrad. Then 122/201 Lat. Rifle div., politruk and captain; second time wounded near Star. Russa; war inv.; Awarded: "Red Star" and medals. After the war worked in system of profes.-technical education.Died in May 1984 or 1985. Buried at the cemetery "Rainis" in Riga.
