From Aug. 1941 he was prepared to work in the rear of the ememy; then courses of commanders" in Valdaye; senior serg. of 4 Partisan platoon "For Soviet Latvia"; from June 1942 in the 2 company of 3 platoon; 10.07.1942 he was sent into the village Gabani where he was taken prisoner by the fascists and placed a concentr. camp for war-prisoners.
