NIMTSOVITCH MICHAIL YAKOVLEVITCH, 01.05.1914, Riga. From Feb. 1942 was serg. in 201/43 Gu Lat. Rifle div; wounded and shell-shocked; war invalid, decorated with orders of "Patriotic War" I and II Deg., and 9 medals. After war worked at Saurieshi Building Plant. Lived in Riga. Died at 23.01.2003. His Uncle Aron Nimtsovitch was worldwide-known chess champion of 30-ies in Riga. [pic]
