On October 21, 1941, “Ventas Balss” published an article with a list of latvians who were meant to be deported. The list also includes the name of Dr. A. Skoste.

He later emigrated to Sweden. On April 27, 1948, on the outskirts of Stockholm, a Latvian doctor Augusts Skoste, who came and settled in Sweden with acquaintances from Ventspils, hanged himself.
