Max Dischler (17-09-1894 - 22-03-1981) German chess composer
Max Dischler was a direct mate composer.
Die Schwalbe (magazine) wrote: Max Dischler (17.9.1894-1982) learnt chess as a primary school pupil in 1912 and immediately tried to teach it to others. He soon became interested in chess problems, and after the First World War he "joined the problemists" (as he himself once put it). In addition to organisational activities in chess clubs, he also ran several problem chess columns, including in the Offenburger Tageblatt and in the Sürag, and after the Second World War in the Badisches Tageblatt.
