Very strong chess player, chess composer of endgame studies and editor
Frederik Antonius Spinhoven was born 1908 in Dordrecht.
He worked as a bank clerk from 1926 until 1973, specialized in foreign bonds.
In the 1930`s, he was one of the strongest chess players in the Netherlands.
The newspaper column of Schelfhout aroused his interest in studies.
He was more than twenty years endgame study editor of Schakend Nederland.
