Suspected islamist terror attack in Paris.
The French police on Wednesday killed a man with knives who had attacked a group of police officers in the northeast of the Paris region. The knife-wielding man was sitting at a bus stop with a knife in both hands when he "lunged" at a police squad "without saying a word" in Dugny (Seine-Saint-Denis, in the northeast of Paris) at around 07:00 on Wednesday morning.
He was killed by police. One of the officers first used a "stun gun" in vain. Then, another officer drew his weapon and wounded the man in the chest. Despite this intervention of the emergency services, the man died.
