3 people died and 2 were injured after a small plane Cessna 310 crashed in a southern California residential neighborhood, 

Authorities had initially reported 4 dead in the confusion after the small plane went down Monday afternoon and hit two homes about a half-mile (800 meters) northeast of Riverside Municipal Airport.
