Stephan Beckenbauer (1 December 1968 – 1 August 2015) was a Munich-born formerfootballer, the son of Franz Beckenbauer.
Beckenbauer's career began with FC Bayern Munich, the same place where his father saw the most success, before he transferred to local rivals TSV 1860 München. He also played for 1. FC Saarbrücken both inside and outside of the top level of the Bundesliga. To his death Beckenbauer was a scout and coach with Bayern Munich.
In 1990, he was on a trial with Red Star Belgrade but did not sign.
He has died after a long illness on August 1, 2015, at the age of 46.
