STEKOL SOLOMON, 1914, Daugavpils. Particip. in rev. movement. Graduated in Paris Facult. of Mechanics. Went to Spain in May 1937, fought at the Madrid Front in 14 Interbrigade. Was command, of anti-tank battery, wounded. From 1939 in c/camp in France; escaped, from there, hid in Paris. The Nazis caught him, imprisoned him, and tortured to death.
