Paul William Klitzkie of Company A, 192nd Tank Battalion "Janesville 99" was born on February 8, 1913 in Milton Junction, Rock, Wisconsin to Adele and William Klitzkie. He would join the Army in 1940 after being convinced by Henry Knox who had already joined the Janesville 99. On December 7, 1941, Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japan and declared war. On April 9, 1942, after a few months of fighting in the Philippines, the Janesville 99 along with Paul surrendered to Japanese forces. The Bataan death march would begin afterwards. Paul would die of Dysentery on June 1, 1942, received from the Bataan death march, at Camp O'Donnell.
