IOFFE MENDEL TZEMAHOVITCH, 1923, Daugavpils. Volunt. in 191 Rifle reg. 201 Lat. Str. Div. near Moscow, wounded. After recovery again at the front in 9th Army; sapper, wounded again, got under encirclement, survived, also fought in 123 Gu Rifle reg. 43 Gu Lat. Rifle div. near St. Russa and Nasva- Novosokolniki; severely wounded, lost his leg; war inv., Awarded with "Glory" 3 deg., "Patriotic War" 1 deg. ord., medal "For Courage". After the war lived in Riga. Since 1991 lives in USA. His wife Veksler FRIDA and brother HENOH also WWII particip.
