Ivor was survived by his wife Enid and his 7-month-old son, Anthony (Tony) Buttle. Tony married Christine (nee Baker) and went on to have four children of his own (Paul, Philip, Ian, and Christine) and seven grandchildren. Tony and his whole family went to visit Ivors grave circa 2003. Ivor was a tall man, measuring about 6 Feet 4 Inches. He played in goal for Taffs Well.
