RAKOVITSKIY ITSKHAK-ITZIK ISAYEVITCH, 21.12.1920, Liepaya. Graduated from Jewish industr. school for processing metal. Evacuat. with aircraft factory. From May 1942 fought in 201 / 43 Gu Lat. Rifle div. in 121, 125 and 123 Gu Rifle reg., command of machineguns4 company. Wounded in vill. Simonovo near Star. Russa 1.12.1942; war inv., later in 308 Lat. Rifle div. passed courses of navy officers in electric mechanic unit to 1947, demobilized. Decorated "Red Star", "For Bravery' and six medals. After the war in Riga - turner, foreman on nonferrous metals factory. Mother and sister perished in Holocaust.
