SHPUNGIN IOSIF YAKOVLEVITCH, 21.09.1914, Krustpils, lived in Riga. 1940- 1941 serg. in workers4 guards, retreated together with them, Rifle reg. 201 Lat. Rfile div. near Moscow and Star. Russa, wounded; Since 1943 in the ensemble of 43 Gu Lat. Rifle div.; During the battles - in the 50 SMSB - medical orderly; Medals "For Bravery" and others. After the war graduated from the industrial technical school in Riga and worked as a tinsmith in the Riga Promkombinat. Died in Riga 2.09.1968. His wife BERTA (nee Grober) - war veteran - lives in Beer Sheva. [pic]
