Ethel Lang was born in the Worsbrough area of Barnsley on 27 May 1900, to Charles and Sarah Lancaster
In 1922 she married William Lang. They had a daughter, Margaret, in 1923.
She lived in the South Yorkshire mining town all her life.
In 2005, she moved into the Water Royd House nursing home in Barnsley, where she died
Mrs Lang is survived by a 91-year-old daughter.
Lang's mother lived to the age of 91, and her great-grandmother until 92.
Lang was the last living British person to have been born during the reign of Queen Victoria.
