Edith González Fuentes (Spanish pronunciation: [eˈðit ɣonˈsales]; 10 December 1964 – 13 June 2019) was a Mexican actress and dancer.
Work
González worked for the Spanish-language television networks Televisa, Telemundo, and TV Azteca. It was while working for Televisa that she played some of the most important roles in Mexican telenovelas. In 2010 she switched from Televisa to TV Azteca.[3] Her first telenovela with TV Azteca was Cielo rojo; her first appearance on TV Azteca was in the reality show La Academia.
Personal life
González had a daughter, Constanza (born 17 August 2004), whose father is politician Santiago Creel.
In 2010, González married Lorenzo Lazo Margáin.
Illness and deathIn 2016, González was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. She underwent surgery to have her ovaries, uterus and lymph nodes removed.
González died of the disease on 13 June 2019, at the age of 54.
