David Faramola Oniya (Russian: Давид Фарамола Ония; 5 June 1985 – 13 June 2015) was a Nigerian footballer who played for Malaysia Premier League club T-Team as a defender.
Club career
Oniya played five seasons for Uzbek League's club FK Samarqand-Dinamo. On 14 December 2011, FC Bunyodkor announced David Oniya signed a contract with them.
He signed a new contract with Bunyodkor. In February they terminated his contract with Bunyodkor and he moved back to Dynamo Samarkand.
Death
On 13 June 2015, Oniya died after collapsing on the pitch in Malaysia during a friendly between his club T-Team and Kelantan.
