MELAMED DAVID SIMONOVITCH, 29.5.1917, Riga. At the front since 24.7.1941, endured retreat in Estonia, then fought near Moscow. Serg. mayor 319 Rifle reg. 308 Lat. Rifle div. till Aug. 1944 up to liberation of Latvia. After war worked at "Rigas Apavi" factory. Lived in Israel in 1979-1993. Died.
