Palma is the main town and port of the Island of Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands. There are sea communications with Barcelona, Valencia and Alicante and other ports on the eastern coast of Spain.

The main, or municipal cemetery, is about 2 kilometres north of the centre of the town, and the one war grave will be found in niche 155 in the north wall, group D. The main entrance to the cemetery is in Camino de Jesús, but this niche is closer to the entrance in the street Camino de L'Ardiaca.

Buses run past the cemetery from the bus station in Plaza de España in the centre of the town.
