Arnolds Janis Zīriņš was born in Pravinas, Tukums Region 2.10.27. MIddle brother of 3 - his elder brother Kārlis Andrejs served in the Baltic Legion (15th Waffen SS) from 1943 and became a DP at the end of the war, living the rest of his life in the UK.
Arnolds is buried in a military cemetery in Rehme, Germany. It is believed he was either in the Waffen SS (Baltic Legion) or fought as a partisan.
