With heavy hearts we announce the sudden death of Amanda Marie Freimanis who was taken from us tragically on January 29, 2021; at the young age of 33.
Although devasted by her loss we take comfort that she is reunited with her father Visvaldis Freimanis and her fraternal grandparents. Beloved daughter to Louise and loving sister to Christine (Paul). Adored Aunt to Michael, dear granddaughter to Baz and Claudette of North Bay. Vibrant niece to Atis of Seattle and Raitis (Vineta) of Sweden. Cousins to Nicole of North Bay and Davis and Sandis of Sweden. Cherished and loyal friend to many and much too many to count but especially Shelbie and Arija. Amanda will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by so many loyal friends.
In fewer years then most of us are granted, Amanda lived life to the fullest dancing to the beat of her own drum and making no apologies for it. Those who knew Amanda well could feel her positive energy always and were blessed to see her brilliant smile that beamed all around. This energy that was gifted to Amanda is undeniable and inescapable and it is what will carry us all forward in her memory. She had an adoring love for her cats that she would send proud photos and videos to all.
In quieter moments, she enjoyed solitude in nature with the ability to see the majestic beauty of nature in a simple rock, stone or insect. Very proud of her Latvian heritage and fluent in the language. Her love for travel and worldly experiences took her abroad-including her favourite trip to Thailand with her Uncle Atis. We who were blessed to know Amanda choose to not dwell upon how she died, rather choose to focus on her joy and love of life, always seeking to live life to the fullest. A celebration of life will be held at a later date when family and friends can gather safely- that’s the way Amanda would want it.
