AVIGUR (in Latvia - MEIROV) SHAUL, 1899, Latvia. Since 1911 studied and worked in Palestine; from 1920 -defender of Tel-Hai; leader of Hagana, one of the Israeli Defense Ministry founders, assistant of Ben-Gurion. Was responsible for ammunition import for Israeli Army. Died in 1978.
