VOLSHONOK (in marriage LEIBOVITCH) RIVA, 1909, West Byelorussia, since 1914 - Daugavpils, since 1927 -Riga; medic, nurse in "Bikur-Holim" Hospital, participant in rev. movement, was arrested. From 1937 till 1939 medic, nurse in Civil War in Spain, then in c/camp in France; at the end 1939 returned to Riga. At 1940/41 - party work. In the beginning of WWII fought as politinstructor in workers' guard in July 1941; later medic, nurse in Evac. Hospital. After the war worked at party work. Left for Israel.
